HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WINDOWS

It all starts with your mount. Inside or Outside?
Blinds can be installed inside or outside the window frame. Your window’s depth will help you decide which mounting style is right for you.
Minimum depth required for inside mount:
Solar & Roller Shades : 2 ½” depth
Dual Shades: 2 ½” depth
Cellular Shades: 1” depth
*Note: Cellular shades are best suited for windows that allow for an inside mount.*
If your window does not meet the minimum depth listed for your selected product you'll need to choose an outside mount instead.

How to measure for INSIDE MOUNTED shades:
1. WIDTH: Measure across the top, middle and bottom - inside the window frame. The smallest of these measurements will be your actual width. Round it down to the nearest ⅛ of an inch.
2. HEIGHT: Measure top down on the right & left inside the frame. The largest of these measurements will be your actual height. Round it up to the nearest ⅛ of an inch.
3. Order your shades using the smallest width and largest height of your window. We will make the correct deductions for a perfect fit.

How to measure for OUTSIDE MOUNTED shades:
1. WIDTH: Measure across the top, middle and bottom on the outside of the window frame. The largest of the three measurements will be your actual width
2. HEIGHT: Measure top down on the right & left outside of the window frame. The largest of these measurements will be your actual height. Add 3” to this measurement to ensure the window is fully covered once the blind is mounted above the window.
3. Order your shades using these measurements. We make no adjustments to outside mounted blinds so the final finished product is based on your exact measurements.
